She is particularly skilled in navigating the NDIS for participants with diverse needs, including housing, SDA, home modifications and experience with the Administrative Review Tribunal. Her ability to guide families through complex systems and advocate for inclusive support makes her a trusted leader within the Recovery Options team.

Experience

With 6 years as a Support Coordinator at Recovery Options, Kym now serves as the Support Coordination Team Leader, where she thrives on mentoring, supervising, and sharing knowledge with her team. Her extensive background includes more than a decade of veterinary nursing at North Croydon Veterinary Clinic, where she developed exceptional organisational, multitasking, and communication skills, as well as experience in staff training, interviewing, and roster coordination. Kym’s varied professional journey reflects her ability to remain calm under pressure, work effectively within high-demand environments, and deliver compassionate, person-centred support.

Education

Kym is currently completing her Bachelor of Social Work at Deakin University, underlining her passion for advocacy, access, and inclusion for all individuals. She has also undertaken multiple specialist training seminars and certifications, including Specialist Support Coordination training and professional development in managing complex care clients. Her ongoing learning ensures she stays informed and effective in supporting participants with diverse and challenging needs.

Interests

Kym enjoys horse riding, spending time with animals, and recharging in nature. She deeply values quality time with her family and friends. Her passion for community and social participation is not just professional but personal—she is dedicated to empowering others to achieve their goals and live fulfilling, independent lives. Kym is a busy Mum to 2 x teenagers.
